Braintopia is a simple game that will test your skills of observation, quick thinking, and coordination. The game is made up of eight fast-paced challenges that keep you on your toes as you race to refocus your mind and solve each puzzle before your opponents. As you and up to five other players proceed through the challenge deck, you collect the cards you have answered both accurately and most quickly. A correctly identified tactile card or a pair of any other challenge card will earn you a piece of the brain. The first player to four brain pieces wins!
Act Too, a.k.a. Mimtoo, is a simple game of miming and gestures that is played in teams. One player on the active team draws both a character card and an action card, then silently acts out the card combination – for example, an electrician dancing the polka. This player’s teammates have one minute to guess the answer, collecting a card if they do so. The team that collects the most cards wins!
In Dutch Blitz, each player has her own deck of forty cards, with cards 1-10 in four colors; red and blue cards show a Pennsylvania Dutch boy, while yellow and green cards show a Pennsylvania Dutch girl. Each deck has a different symbol on the back to aid with card sorting between rounds.
Cockroach Poker is a reverse set collection game that has nothing to do with poker – except that the game is all about bluffing, but with cards that show cockroaches, rats and stink bugs instead of queens, 10s and aces. The goal of the game is to force another player to collect 4 of any one type of critter.
Coup: Reformation, an expansion for the original version of Coup: City State from La Mame Games, adds new cards to the game and rules for factions and team play that increases tension in the early stages for four or more players and (thanks to 15 additional character cards) allows Coup to be better played with up to ten players.
